Dear Parishioners and Friends of St Peter’s,

I hope that this round of lock-down is not too unbearable for you and yours; and most importantly, that you are all keeping well.

Our Archbishop has given the following advice concerning the recently mandated wearing of face masks: “In metropolitan Melbourne, clergy, church and congregational members must wear masks for anything outside the home, including weddings, funerals, home visits, live-streaming or recording services, and any other ministry. The exception is when masks inhibit speaking or singing. For live-streaming and video, when keeping social distance of at least 1.5m, speaking or singing directly to camera without a mask is preferred. When not speaking or singing, a mask must be put back on.”

On the topic of COVID-19 face masks, this week a parishioner sent me the attached video clip which you might enjoy.
