Dear Parishioners and Friends of St Peter’s,

How has your week been? I hope that you and yours are keeping well.
We look forward to the Prime Minister’s announcement this coming Friday, following his National Cabinet briefing, about a possible easing of restrictions.
I’m not confident that St Peter’s and other churches will be open again in the near future, but every step towards that day is a blessing.

I realise how hard it is to worship in 2D rather than the 3D in church that we all long for.
But here are some tips parishioners have passed on that may be helpful for you:
set aside a special time; perhaps the time you usually worship on a Sunday
create a sacred space at home; an altar, a closed room where you will be uninterrupted, alone or with others
light a candle; put out your Bible; you may even wish to place some bread and wine there symbolically
down load the Liturgy Sheet and Pew Sheet beforehand (see stpeters.org.au <http://stpeters.org.au/>) print them out, or display them on another screen

And then, after Mass, join us on Zoom for “Morning Tea at The Vicarage.”
If you’ve not yet tried Zoom, give it a go; and if you get stuck, just drop me a line (or a tech-savvy family member or friend) and we can try to help you get connected.
