Dear Parishioners and Friends of St Peter’s,
How has your week been?
It is good that restrictions are finally being eased in our State, cautiously and carefully.
We have now had a whole week of small public Masses at St Peter's (no more than 10 in the congregation).
It has been such a joy to have the West Door of our beautiful church open for public worship once more; albeit in a limited capacity.
See below for a summary of our “Back to St Peter’s” plan that I sent out to parishioners last week.
Many of you are not quite ready to return to church, however, and that is quite understandable; indeed wise.
We continue to pre-record and broadcast the Sunday Mass on YouTube; so do keep joining us in this way too:

You may also like to download the Pew Sheet and Liturgy Sheet beforehand, so you can sing along with the hymns :)
These can be found on the St Peter’s website: https://www.stpeters.org.au/ <https://www.stpeters.org.au/>
And then I host a virtual "morning tea at the vicarage” every Sunday at 12.30pm for anyone who would like to “drop in” for a chat.
You can join us by following the link: https://bit.ly/2Lt6jds <https://bit.ly/2Lt6jds> (password: 298849).
Every blessing to you and yours,
Fr Hugh

SUNDAY AND WEEKDAY MASSES
Attending Mass in Person – “Low Mass” only
Unfortunately, during the Victorian Government stage-one restrictions easing, we cannot resume any of the usual Sunday services at St Peter’s.
Since the closure of Anglican churches to the public on Monday 23rd March, the sacramental heartbeat of St Peter’s has continued to beat, albeit much less vigorously than before. Every day, seven days a week, a small group of us has gathered to say Mass in private. Now that the West Door of the church is once again open to the public, for up to 10 people, you are welcome to join Fr Philip, Fr Greg, Fr Ken and myself in person for one or more of the following simple “Low Mass” services:
· Monday 7.15am
· Tuesday 7.15am
· Wednesday 7.15am, 1.15pm
· Thursday 7.15am
· Friday 7.15am
· Saturday – no public worship – Mass recorded onto YouTube for Sunday
· Sunday 10.30am
Another big change is that you will now have to “Book a Pew” for Mass. Because only ten people are currently allowed to attend public worship, you cannot just turn up like you used to. It is a simple procedure, but you must plan ahead, or you may risk being turned away from church (something none of us would want to happen):
· Very important: you must “book a pew” at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance of any service you would like to attend
· Please e-mail the Parish Office – sphoffice at stpeters.org.au (preferred)
· Or phone Kosta on (03) 9662 2391
· Make sure to leave your name and phone number
· Indicate which service, from the above list, you hope to attend
· Indicate the date or dates of the service(s) you would like to attend
· Please note: if there are already more than 10 people booked for a particular service, you will not be able to attend that service
· We will make sure to call you if this is the case
