As I often say: "There is never a dull moment at The Hill!" It is my pleasure to outline below for the first time our Spring Study Program, held in the Parish Hall unless otherwise stated. Christian nurture and education are core components of our commitment to catholic evangelism and discipleship at St Peter's, and we are blessed with a great leadership team committed to making this happen: Fr Greg Davies, National Director of Education for Ministry (EFM); Nick Browne, Chair of the Institute for Spiritual Studies (ISS); Colleen Clayton, Klingner Scholar; as well as a number of guest speakers and preachers who are generously giving of their time and expertise.

Sunday 24th September, 1pm — A Theological Reflection on Euthanasia. Dr Stephen Duckett, Health Program Director with the Grattan Institute.
Thursday 28th September, 7.30pm (ISS) — The Reformation and British Art. Bp Ian George, former Archbishop of Adelaide, and the Fr Craig D'Alton, Archdeacon of Melbourne and Lecturer at Trinity College Theological School.
Saturday 7th October, 11am to 4pm — Theological Forum. The Rev'd Dr Keith Mascord, a Sydney-based priest and theologian; hosted by St Peter's and organised by the Society of the Sacred Mission (SSM).
Sunday 8th October, 1pm — Panel Discussion on Marriage Equality. Rowena Allen, Victorian Commissioner for Gender and Sexuality; the Rev'd Dr Gary Bouma, Emeritus Professor of Sociology and UNESCO Chair in Interreligious and Intercultural Relations, Asia Pacific; and Dr Keith Mascord (see above).
Tuesdays 10th, 17th & 24th October, 6pm — An EFM Taster "And God Spoke: the Authority of the Bible for the Church Today" Fr Greg Davies (see above).
Sundays 22nd & 29th October, 1pm — Forgiveness and Kindness workshops. Led by the Rev'd Canon Prof. Dorothy Lee, Dean of Trinity College Theological School; the Rev'd Glenn Loughrey, Aboriginal priest and artist; Chris Mackey, Psychologist; John Hendry, former Director of Student Welfare at Geelong Grammar.

In addition to this adult education program, Colleen Clayton, our Klingner Scholar is offering Admission to Communion classes, and other Family and Youth Ministry Program items. I will feature these in next week's pewsheet.

The Rev'd Dr Hugh Kempster
