Moses was the prophet who led his people out of bondage in Egypt.

Moses received the Ten Commandments from God, who appeared to him as a burning bush. He is depicted holding the serpent staff and the tablet of the commandments engraved by God.

Moses is also often depicted, as here, with rays of light emanating from his head.
