This view of the interior of St Peter's shows the right of the sanctuary, with a view of the Chapel of the Incarnation, which now occupies the space of the earlier organ gallery. The painting visible in the Chapel is a copy by an unknown Italian hand of Raphael's 'Madonna of the Chair', the original of which was painted in 1515.
