On Palm Sunday the church is decorated with palms and olive branches. The liturgical colour for the day is red, so the red frontal is used, and red vestments are worn. However, it is still Lent, so the ornaments, crucifixes and pictures in the church are covered with purple veils. The three lecturns on the left by the pulpit are for the solemn chanting of the passion. These lecterns are also decorated with palms to mark the day. |
