Seminar 6:
The Risen Life of Christ

Discovering the risen life of Christ amid the contradictions:
Michael Ramsey on Easter, transformation and the Church

From his earliest writings, Michael Ramsey (Archbishop of Canterbury 1961-74) focussed on the centrality of the cross and resurrection of Christ, not only for our understanding of redemption, but also in forming the Church and shaping the pattern of Christian living. This seminar will explore the themes of transformation and the Church from the perspective of the Easter mystery as seen both in Ramsey's early writings and in his life and ministry.
