Seminar 11:
The Gift of Creativity

It's no use asking for it. You've got it already!

The issue for most is how to access it, and allow it to flourish. This practical seminar will explore a few possibilities that provide "take-away" opportunities.

Song, movement and the visual arts have always played a crucial role in the life and liturgies of the Church and, indeed, of every culture, in every time. They are also gifts we can mobilise as resources for our own spiritual journeys.

So, we will look at some expressive arts and the impediments to a free expression of our most creative gifts. We will examine some means available to travel into new creative territory, look at pictures, make some ourselves, move (sensitively!), and make a little primitive music, write a little; and all this in only two hours!

This will not be a lecture, but a seminar in an original sense, a "breeding ground", a time and place to find some new life. Come along if you're game to experiment and to find a new reason to rejoice in what God has set within you.
