Seminar 5:
The New Threat to
Women's Ministry

The Sydney ideology that women are 'equal but different' has emerged in Melbourne, posing danger for Melbourne Diocese's strong and consistent support for women in the ordained ministry. The Rev'd Dr Kevin Giles and Dr Muriel Porter — both long-term advocates for ordained women — are increasingly concerned about this trend. They will speak about the way this teaching is being promoted, from claims about subordination within the Trinity to the impact of American neo-Calvinist Protestantism.

Date Wednesday 6 July
Time 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm
Venue St Peter's, Eastern Hill
Cost $15 (concession: $12)
