The Bible and Art

A guided walking tour of part of the NGV international collection, looking at the portrayal of biblical narratives in art.

Conductor Dr Claire Renkin.
Dr Renkin lectures in art history at Yarra Theological Union and has degrees in English, voice, education and art history from such diverse institutions as La Trobe University, University of Melbourne, University of Massachusetts and Rutgers — the State University of New Jersey. Her teaching passion is art history, and she is currently researching the gender imagery of Donatello's statue of Mary Magdalene.
