Seminar 4:

The Oxford Movement happened a long time ago — in the years after July 1833 to be precise. So is it safely dead and buried? Great historical events have a habit of revisiting us with their abiding relevance. Perhaps there is nothing new under the sun. In this case some exciting events provide a fascinating story; some truly great figures prove to have an abiding appeal; a body of literature is a treasured part of our heritage as Christians; and the spirituality they enunciated and lived can still inspire. This movement, now almost two hundred years later, can well repay a visit.
